Boy or Girl?

On Tuesday we had our 20 weeks scan and the best part about this appointment is you get to find out the gender.  I know gender reveal parties are all the rage right now but Matt and I wanted to do something a little more intimate.  We decided to have the Dr. right down the gender in a card and seal it.  We made dinner reservations for later that evening and we would open the card at dinner.  If you know me than you know I am so impatient and I was dying to open the card.  I was trying to read the menu but I couldn't stop thinking about it and it honestly felt like forever before the waitress came to take our orders.  After we finally ordered I could not wait any longer and we decided to open it, but before we did we both made our predictions.  We opened the card and it's a BOY!  We couldn't be happier and I am already so much in love with this little man.  The rest of dinner was awesome just being with Matt and talking about our little baby boy.  After dinner we called/emailed our families to let them know the great news.  I wouldn't have done it any other way.  It was perfect!

We are going to frame the card for the Nursery.

Maternity Jeans: My search is over

Disclaimer: If you are not pregnant or could careless about maternity clothes probably best to stop reading.

I'm a little excited today.  I have been looking for maternity jeans forever.  Well, not forever but a while. I've been trying to avoid it but I know it is something I have to do.  I m still wearing my regular jeans but I think I have about 2 more weeks maybe.  I didn't want to spend a lot of money since I would probably only wear them for 4 - 5 months.   I heard H&M had some pretty comfy ones so I tried them on.  Not for me, no offense.  They just don't look like jeans they looked like maternity jeans.  I wanted jeans that looked and felt like jeans but were still comfy.  I tried several other brands but no luck.  I started searching the Internet and found these bad boys, Séraphine Grey Lux Skinny Jeans.  They had really great reviews, a few celebrities were pictured in them and they looked cute.  So I went ahead and ordered them.  Honestly I was expecting to return them because I figured they wouldn't work.  I was dead wrong.  These are the most comfortable pair of pants I have ever owned.  They are stretchy, comfortable on the waist and still look stylish.  I am now going to ordered the black and jean colored ones.  I may live in these.

Monday's Mood

It's Monday...blah!  I have started to spring clean a little early this year, ok a lot early.  One of my New Years resolution was to get a jump start on organizing and de-cluttering.  I am sitting here wondering how we have accumulated so much stuff.  We literally have no where to put anything in this tiny little flat but, somehow we have managed to.  I am trying to sort through everything to figure out what we need keep vs. give away and I started to think about re-decorating.   Of course..haha!  I am always so practical.

First on the list is this couch...with a little twerp running around we will need a darker color couch

Second is I want to paint a navy accent wall

The third and final idea is painting the inside of the front door black, although I realize if I go too far with my re-decorating my husband may exercise his veto rights.  Hoping to avoid that!

New Year, New bumps...

Happy New Year!

AND

Happy Friday!

So, yeah, I have been MIA for awhile but I promise I have a good excuse.  Are you ready for my excuse?  And no it's not because I am lazy.  I know that is what you were thinking.  The truth is...I am PREGNANT!  I have been spending my time trying not to throw up on people and falling asleep at work.  Blogging was the last thing on my mind but I am feeling better and ready to tackle some more blog posts.  I can't promise that this blog wont feature some baby posts because, lets be honest, it will.

Baby E ♡

I am 18 (+4 days) weeks.  The bump has decided to make it's appearance.  I am still fitting in my jeans..thanks god.  Tops are another story and it is not because of the bump.  My boobs are out of control.  Also, maternity clothes are the worst - I have yet to buy any.  I will leave that for another day.

I think I may have been a little naive to pregnancy.  All my friends and family that have been pregnant seemed to handle it with such ease and always look amazing.  As soon as I became pregnant the truth starts to come out.  They start telling me about how sick, tired, and a ton of other things that I will do you a favor and spare you the details.  I was like..WTF?!  Where was this information before.  I could of benefited from knowing this.  So here I am pregnant thinking I have been lied to all my life..haha!

But seriously it is all worth it once you feel the baby move and hear that tiny heart beat.

Here is to a New Year, New Posts and New Beginnings
