If it's meant to be

Yesterday instead of hitting up Target to snag a few pieces from Prabal Gurung I was condo hunting.  Talk about stressful.  Not as stressful as London but very close.  We were out all day and have 3 choices but the way the market is going they could all be gone by time we get to making an offer.  I found out late last night, while watching the Grammys, we missed out on our top choice by a few hours.  So, we quickly moved onto to our 2nd and we are waiting to hear back.  The agent did let us know we are not the only ones interested but we were the first to contact and apply.  However, I have been waiting for an invoice for a few hours to pay so they can start to process our application and I am yet to hear from them. I am getting beyond impatient.  If they come back and tell me we missed out there will be words as they told me we were first to apply.  Wish us luck - I really hope we get this one.  My husband said I am not cut out for this and I think he is right.

Today this is what I need to keep reminding myself

Friday Favorites - baby edition

So, I am about to enter my 6 month of pregnancy.  Crazy, right?!  I can hardly believe it either.  My husband and I just moved back to Chicago from London and we are currently condo searching.  I like to have a chaotic life.  I like to think I work better under pressure.

Anyways, we have been doing some shopping and I have bought some of things below and others I am saving for my registry but these are my baby favorites right now.  The big ticket item we are actually going to buy this weekend is the stroller.  Living in the city I wanted to invest in a nice stroller.

BTW the snoogle is amazing.  I was having issues sleeping and this has been a life saver.

Next week I will share my nursery inspiration board.  We've finally agreed on bedding last night and made the purchase.  I was not prepared for how picky Matt was going to be with this little guy.

Happy Friday

Boy or Girl?

On Tuesday we had our 20 weeks scan and the best part about this appointment is you get to find out the gender.  I know gender reveal parties are all the rage right now but Matt and I wanted to do something a little more intimate.  We decided to have the Dr. right down the gender in a card and seal it.  We made dinner reservations for later that evening and we would open the card at dinner.  If you know me than you know I am so impatient and I was dying to open the card.  I was trying to read the menu but I couldn't stop thinking about it and it honestly felt like forever before the waitress came to take our orders.  After we finally ordered I could not wait any longer and we decided to open it, but before we did we both made our predictions.  We opened the card and it's a BOY!  We couldn't be happier and I am already so much in love with this little man.  The rest of dinner was awesome just being with Matt and talking about our little baby boy.  After dinner we called/emailed our families to let them know the great news.  I wouldn't have done it any other way.  It was perfect!

We are going to frame the card for the Nursery.

Maternity Jeans: My search is over

Disclaimer: If you are not pregnant or could careless about maternity clothes probably best to stop reading.

I'm a little excited today.  I have been looking for maternity jeans forever.  Well, not forever but a while. I've been trying to avoid it but I know it is something I have to do.  I m still wearing my regular jeans but I think I have about 2 more weeks maybe.  I didn't want to spend a lot of money since I would probably only wear them for 4 - 5 months.   I heard H&M had some pretty comfy ones so I tried them on.  Not for me, no offense.  They just don't look like jeans they looked like maternity jeans.  I wanted jeans that looked and felt like jeans but were still comfy.  I tried several other brands but no luck.  I started searching the Internet and found these bad boys, Séraphine Grey Lux Skinny Jeans.  They had really great reviews, a few celebrities were pictured in them and they looked cute.  So I went ahead and ordered them.  Honestly I was expecting to return them because I figured they wouldn't work.  I was dead wrong.  These are the most comfortable pair of pants I have ever owned.  They are stretchy, comfortable on the waist and still look stylish.  I am now going to ordered the black and jean colored ones.  I may live in these.
