I love the look of a painted door.  It can take your room from blah to Bold!
What do you think?

Gold Champagne Glasses

This weekend we did another DIY project or as my husband puts it DIO (Do it ourselves) since I usually enlist his help :).  I got the idea from pinterest and wanted to try it out.

When we moved to London we put all our wedding gifts and nice dinnerware in storage.  The champagne and wine glasses we brought are Crate and Barrel Outlet buys and thought why not just add a little gold to them.  There was no pressure since the nice ones are in storage..ha!

Before

What you need- spray paint and tape

taped glasses with design

After

VOILA

I also spray painted the rims of my wine glasses

Confetti Garland

Hope everyone had a fabulous New Years.  It was great being home for  2 weeks spending time with family and friends.  I hate saying goodbye but I will be back sooner than later.   Tomorrow is back to the real world.

On another note, I am loving confetti garland and just not for Birthdays, New Years and other occasions. I want to put confetti in my office or behind my bar cart just to spice it up and add some fun.  I found a few DIY garland that I added to my project list for 2012.

Tiered Tray DIY

If you remember my September DIY post then you saw the Tiered Tray.  I finally finished it!  September has gotten away from me and sadly only got one of my projects done.

For the top I put a bowl instead of a plate, it is removable because I wanted the option for a two tiered tray.  I got the plates from Target and all the nuts and bolts from Home Depot.

Happy Hump Day!

Sunday DIY

I found this DIY bracelet at Honestly...WTF and had to recreate it!  I am nuts about it..quite literally!  I used leather to make one and twine for the other two.  I think they turned out pretty good what do you think?

What you’ll need:
  • 3 strands of twine or leather cut into one yard pieces
  • 18 small brass hex nuts
  • Braid the hex nuts into the bracelet
