Holiday Glitz and Glamour

Below are two inspirations I am considering for our Holiday Party.  Both are very different from each other.  I love the pop of color with the red lips in the first look.  The second look I would pair with a leather skirt.  I am sure it will be a last minute decision depending on my mood but I will add a little sparkle with either a vintage hair clip or cocktail ring.

It's Friday lovelies!!  Here are my current crushes.  I am so excited about this clutch- I think I had 4 in my cart trying to figure out which one I wanted.  Check it out at zhush - she has awesome trays, scarfs, jewelry and clutches.  I just bought the boots too but in tan since a few reviews said the black rubbed off on clothes.  I am in desperate need of a jacket to take me into spring, summer and fall.  It doesn't get that hot in London and great jacket is a necessity.  I have been eyeing this All Saints jacket for a couple of months.  They sold out in my size...tear.  I am hoping they get it back in stock or come with some new ones for fall.  I love gold jewelry and the bigger the better.  I like to wear my husbands watch :)  Who wouldn't want some blue or red jeans.  What are your current crushes?

A little lace and french toast

I've been receiving emails (which I love) asking for outfit posts.  The lack of outfit posts is due to my photographer (husband) working long hours - it's half year.  He informed me that he can only work weekends until August.  I tried to pout and throw a tantrum but it got me no where.  So, for the time being, I decided I could take the awkward pictures in the mirror or lay out my outfits - way easier ;)  Today I wore a lace skirt and gold tank- I got these a few weeks ago at French Connection.  Since Matt is working late I'm only cooking for one and what is better then breakfast for dinner.  I love me some french toast.  I took one pic to see what the belt looked like.  I changed it for a darker one.

I air dried my hair- never again- FRIZZY!  Umm I could also use a tan.  Last night we met up with Matt's old co worker and his wife from Chicago who is interviewing today.  They wanted to know all about London and how the move went.  I hope I didn't scare them...haha!  This is what I wore.  Looking at the pics - not my best choice.  I carry flats with me everywhere I go and I ended up in them before the night was over.

It's that time in London and everywhere else.  Summer = festivals and if you are an outdoor concert goer like myself then you know the weather usually doesn't cooperate especially in London.  Wellies are my #1 essential piece.  I'm a fan of Hunter - I have them in Green but I want them in Red too :)  Here is my ideal festival look.

MY FIRST OUTFIT POST!!!!

So I hate trying on clothes, I mean absolutely hate it.  I do the neck trick with majority of my pants and skirts- you know when you take the waist of the pants/skirt and wrap around your neck.  It's pretty spot on except for pencil skirts.  I have what some people like to call a "booty" and it can get in the way.  I also have the shortest legs known to man, so no matter what I have to get them hemmed.  This skirt was no exception - didn't try it on and it was way too long when on my waist.  High waisted skirt...sure!  You can tell its still a tad too long.
