Distracted by Sales

Sunday I went shopping to find a navy blue dress for a wedding I am in next month.  The bride is being super easy going about the dresses.  We just need a blue dress she doesn't care length, straps, shoes etc.

This should be easy, right?!

Well, I was in one of those I really don't want to shop or try anything on moods.  This is a very rare occasion but it can happen.   On top of that I was really dreading the crowds, people are everywhere right now.  I had to give myself a pep talk to get out the door.   It's not really a pep talk more of a bribe - I can make a stop at the American candy store..ha!   With Reese's Peanut Buttercups on the brain I finally made my way through the masses to Oxford Street.  As I was walking I started to notice bright red signs with the words SALE on them.  They distracted me and I totally forgot what I was shopping for.   Three hours later I was happy with my amazing purchases and melted chocolate on my face.  I didn't realize till I got home that I forgot to get a dress.

There is always next weekend right?

My favorite purchase of the day (not on sale) was this All Saints Belvedere Leather Jacket.

How was your weekend?

Stay tuned for tomorrow - I have a little rant about lunchtime in the UK.

One Bikini Two

I am going shopping for a new bikini - the dreaded bikini shopping trip.  It's the only shopping trip I don't look forward to.  Wish me luck.

Here are a few I am looking at.

1 |  2 | 3 | 4 | 5 | 6

All I am going to say is, what is the deal with the lights in dressing rooms.  Seriously, do you not want me to buy something?

Insta-Recap

Weekend at home with nothing on the agenda - perfect.  Friday I met Matt for Happy Hour after work.  We were a little too happy and I woke up the next morning with a headache.  The hangover food of choice - Donuts..ha!  After the headache went away, I went shopping and picked up some cute, cheap baubles at H&M and Forever21.  Of course I went to Zara and put a little dent in the wallet.  Matt had a day/night with the boys on Saturday at the Heineken Cup Final.  So I bought myself some wine, watched Sex and City, did my nails and caught up on celebrity gossip.  Sunday we spent the day at home making breakfast, skyping with family and strolling through the neighborhood.  It was a nice little weekend at home.

How was your weekend?

Perfect Tee

I always struggle to find a good versatile Tee, one that ticked all the boxes for me.  I want it to be soft, relaxed but still have a feminine fit, quality fabric that is not see through and one I could dress up.  But Guess What?  I finally found it!!  I swear by this James Perse V Neck.  You can dress it up or play it down.  I absolutely love it!

Happy Hump Day!

Weekend Recap

This weekend was the start of one of my New Years resolutions, to try new things.  Friday we were boring and stayed home trying to get back on London time.  It still hasn't worked...  Saturday we went shopping and tried out a new pub we have been wanting to check out forever.  It was fun and nice to just be with Matt.  After our Christmas Holiday we needed a date night.  Sunday we rented a car and I drove in London for the first time.  Driving on the left is scary enough but throw a manual my way and it is even scarier.  My right hand wanted to shift, I have big red buses swerving in my direction, random people crossing the streets, and bikes everywhere.  I felt like I was in MarioKart just dodging buses instead of turtle shells.  I am suppose to get my company car this week or next.  Hopefully my little practice yesterday has me ready...lol!  We ended the weekend at the movies- The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo.  I saw the original one a month or two ago, both are pretty good.  I had a few issues with the new one, they changed the storyline and people either had Swedish or British accents.  The story took place in Stockholm-they should have Swedish accents.  Anyways it was still a good movie but the book was better.

Happy Monday!
