Baby on the brain

What is the best way to clear your mind when you are trying to relax and not freak out that you are getting induced in a few hours...blogging.  Well, I thought it would help but it hasn't.  I put together a list of top registry items.  Now I must clarify that I do not have the baby yet so I have no idea if the little man is going to like this stuff but I do.  I will do a follow up post to let you know how they work out.

My next post when ever I get around to it will be on the cute baby stuff I have found on instagram through other moms and bloggers.  My bank account is getting a work out to say the least.  Hopefully it wont take me 3 months to blog again.  Sorry, I have been crazy busy at work and home trying to get ready for this baby.

What I want Wednesday

It's that time again...what I want Wednesday.  It is maternity/baby theme...weird I know.

I also wanted to say thank you to all my readers. I have gotten some great comments and emails on things to add to my registry and helpful advice.  I am a newbie and love all your advice :)  Keep it coming!

Friday Favorites - baby edition

So, I am about to enter my 6 month of pregnancy.  Crazy, right?!  I can hardly believe it either.  My husband and I just moved back to Chicago from London and we are currently condo searching.  I like to have a chaotic life.  I like to think I work better under pressure.

Anyways, we have been doing some shopping and I have bought some of things below and others I am saving for my registry but these are my baby favorites right now.  The big ticket item we are actually going to buy this weekend is the stroller.  Living in the city I wanted to invest in a nice stroller.

BTW the snoogle is amazing.  I was having issues sleeping and this has been a life saver.

Next week I will share my nursery inspiration board.  We've finally agreed on bedding last night and made the purchase.  I was not prepared for how picky Matt was going to be with this little guy.

Happy Friday

Boy or Girl?

On Tuesday we had our 20 weeks scan and the best part about this appointment is you get to find out the gender.  I know gender reveal parties are all the rage right now but Matt and I wanted to do something a little more intimate.  We decided to have the Dr. right down the gender in a card and seal it.  We made dinner reservations for later that evening and we would open the card at dinner.  If you know me than you know I am so impatient and I was dying to open the card.  I was trying to read the menu but I couldn't stop thinking about it and it honestly felt like forever before the waitress came to take our orders.  After we finally ordered I could not wait any longer and we decided to open it, but before we did we both made our predictions.  We opened the card and it's a BOY!  We couldn't be happier and I am already so much in love with this little man.  The rest of dinner was awesome just being with Matt and talking about our little baby boy.  After dinner we called/emailed our families to let them know the great news.  I wouldn't have done it any other way.  It was perfect!

We are going to frame the card for the Nursery.

New Year, New bumps...

Happy New Year!

AND

Happy Friday!

So, yeah, I have been MIA for awhile but I promise I have a good excuse.  Are you ready for my excuse?  And no it's not because I am lazy.  I know that is what you were thinking.  The truth is...I am PREGNANT!  I have been spending my time trying not to throw up on people and falling asleep at work.  Blogging was the last thing on my mind but I am feeling better and ready to tackle some more blog posts.  I can't promise that this blog wont feature some baby posts because, lets be honest, it will.

Baby E ♡

I am 18 (+4 days) weeks.  The bump has decided to make it's appearance.  I am still fitting in my jeans..thanks god.  Tops are another story and it is not because of the bump.  My boobs are out of control.  Also, maternity clothes are the worst - I have yet to buy any.  I will leave that for another day.

I think I may have been a little naive to pregnancy.  All my friends and family that have been pregnant seemed to handle it with such ease and always look amazing.  As soon as I became pregnant the truth starts to come out.  They start telling me about how sick, tired, and a ton of other things that I will do you a favor and spare you the details.  I was like..WTF?!  Where was this information before.  I could of benefited from knowing this.  So here I am pregnant thinking I have been lied to all my life..haha!

But seriously it is all worth it once you feel the baby move and hear that tiny heart beat.

Here is to a New Year, New Posts and New Beginnings
