If it's meant to be

Yesterday instead of hitting up Target to snag a few pieces from Prabal Gurung I was condo hunting.  Talk about stressful.  Not as stressful as London but very close.  We were out all day and have 3 choices but the way the market is going they could all be gone by time we get to making an offer.  I found out late last night, while watching the Grammys, we missed out on our top choice by a few hours.  So, we quickly moved onto to our 2nd and we are waiting to hear back.  The agent did let us know we are not the only ones interested but we were the first to contact and apply.  However, I have been waiting for an invoice for a few hours to pay so they can start to process our application and I am yet to hear from them. I am getting beyond impatient.  If they come back and tell me we missed out there will be words as they told me we were first to apply.  Wish us luck - I really hope we get this one.  My husband said I am not cut out for this and I think he is right.

Today this is what I need to keep reminding myself

Monday's Mood

It's Monday...blah!  I have started to spring clean a little early this year, ok a lot early.  One of my New Years resolution was to get a jump start on organizing and de-cluttering.  I am sitting here wondering how we have accumulated so much stuff.  We literally have no where to put anything in this tiny little flat but, somehow we have managed to.  I am trying to sort through everything to figure out what we need keep vs. give away and I started to think about re-decorating.   Of course..haha!  I am always so practical.

First on the list is this couch...with a little twerp running around we will need a darker color couch

Second is I want to paint a navy accent wall

The third and final idea is painting the inside of the front door black, although I realize if I go too far with my re-decorating my husband may exercise his veto rights.  Hoping to avoid that!

This time...

Last year at this time we were packing up our condo in Chicago and starting our adventure overseas.  Chicago wasn't ready for us to leave - we had to experience one of the worst snowstorms before we could go.  20 inches of snow along with high winds, ice and power outages.  Flights were cancelled for 2 days- we had a condo but no furniture , so we ended up staying in a hotel.  We decided to call our friends for one last hurrah- we found one of the only bars open in the city and celebrated our goodbye again :).  It was a great way to go out.  I can't believe it's been a year.  It has flown by.
